Four generations of hands-on experience shape our approach. Today, MWT Advanced Systems and AVS bring together two manufacturing disciplines—manufacturing engineering and quality systems—with one promise: results delivered.
- Joe Oyanadel — First generation. Joe worked as a machinist in his uncle’s shop, the original MWT, before going to school for mechanical engineering. Combining his degree with that practical foundation, he built a rewarding career as a design engineer, design holder, and engineering leader in the medical and surgical industry.
- Maurice Oyanadel Sr. — Second generation. Joe’s son founded MWT Advanced Systems and brings manufacturing engineering experience across aerospace, defense, automotive, and ordnance. He also founded RAM—the RFQ Acquisition Method—which has been a cornerstone of MWT Advanced Systems for more than 40 years.
- Maurice Oyanadel Jr. — Third generation. Maurice Jr. combines a background in sales with hands-on shop-floor learning in technical processes and dimensional measurement to strengthen quality systems and team development.
- Tristan Oyanadel — Fourth generation. Tristan operates his own mechanic shop and small-engine repair business, carrying the family’s hands-on approach to problem-solving and customer service into another generation.

Maurice Oyanadel Sr.
As founder and president of MWT Advanced Systems, Maurice Oyanadel Sr. brings manufacturing engineering experience across the aerospace, defense, automotive, and ordnance industries. His work connects customer requirements with practical manufacturing processes—from RFQ feasibility and cell design to prototypes, production implementation, and process improvement.
He is also the founder of RAM (RFQ Acquisition Method), a method that has supported MWT Advanced Systems for more than 40 years.
He leads MWT’s engineering delivery with a focus on solutions that work on the floor, clear deliverables, and personal accountability. He sets company direction, approves customer commitments, and provides final approval of MWT engineering outputs.
AVS / OWNER & QUALITY DIRECTOR
Maurice Oyanadel Jr.
Maurice Oyanadel Jr. brings a customer-focused perspective shaped by sales and hands-on manufacturing experience. He took his learning to the shop floor to develop the technical knowledge and dimensional measurement skills needed to understand the work firsthand.
Today, he combines that practical foundation with an understanding of customer needs to strengthen quality systems and develop capable teams. As AVS Owner / Quality Director, he leads quality services, inspection planning, documentation, and training, and approves final AVS quality deliverables.
